As the name implies, the filter press is made of high-quality cast iron and is suitable for filtering high-temperature materials. It consists of a series of horizontally designed chambers arranged in parallel. The chambers consist of stacked filter plates, each with filter cloth or other suitable filter media. The plate stack is usually compressed by a hand wheel or electric hydraulics, and the filter cloth is used as a gasket between the individual chambers.
Cast iron filter presses are available in both manual and automatic types. Since cast iron filter plates are very heavy, we would recommend an automatic cast iron filter press if the size of the filter plate exceeds 630mm. It is recognized in various fields for its high strength, reliability and long service life.
