Coal washing is an indispensable process for deep processing of coal. The coal directly mined from the mine is called raw coal. The raw coal is mixed with many impurities during the mining process, and the quality of the coal is different. The coal with small internal ash and large internal ash is mixed. together. Coal washing is an industrial process in which impurities in raw coal are removed or high-quality coal and inferior coal are classified.
After the coal washing process, the finished coal is usually called clean coal. By washing coal, improving coal quality and reducing coal-fired pollutant emissions, coal transportation costs can be reduced and coal utilization rate can be improved. Clean coal is generally used as fuel energy, bituminous coal. The clean coal is generally used for coking, it is going to remove sulfur, to remove impurities and other industrial processes to achieve the standard for coking.
Water is used in most coal washing processes, resulting in a large amount of coal washing wastewater, which is the wastewater discharged during wet coal washing. The coal washing method is divided into wet washing and dry washing. The water consumption per ton of coal during wet coal washing is 2-8m3. The generated wastewater mainly contains suspended solids with a particle size of less than 50μm. The main components of the wastewater are micro-pulverized coal, sand, clay, shale rock and so on. The wastewater treatment method generally adopts agglomeration sedimentation or air flotation method. The treated effluent can be recycled for production.
The treatment of coal slurry water by the coal preparation plant generally adopts a "cyclone-filter press (sludge sedimentation tank)" treatment process. We will use high molecular flocculants. The polymer flocculant is in contact with the slime particles or the coal slime colloid, neutralizes the electrical properties of the surface of the slime, reduces the surface energy, and causes the coal slurry particles to coagulate and precipitate. The effect of flocculation and sedimentation of coal slurry water is better.
